Wireless Sensor Faucets

The Sloan OPTIMA Plus® ERF-885 Battery Powered, Electronic, Wireless Hand Washing Faucet operates by means of a passive and active infrared sensor. Once the user’s hands enter the sensor’s effective range, the passive infrared sensor prequalifies the user. Once the user is prequalified, the active infrared sensor sends out an infrared beam which must reflect off the user and back to the sensor. When both sensors qualify a user, the Faucet sends a signal to the Control Module to activate the Solenoid and turn on the water flow. Water flows from the Faucet until hands are moved away. The Faucet then automatically shuts off.
